Hotel Reviews of the Ramada Limited Downtown Vancouver

Front Desk2 April 2012
The Ramada Limited Vancouver Downtown is in a great central location, and although it is close to a not-so-great area, the proximity to places like Chinatown and Gastown outweighed any negatives for me and I didn't have any bad experiences. The bathroom was nice and spacious, with an attractive tiled floor, and the bed was two singles pushed together to make for an extremely wide (although kind of short) bed with plenty of room to spread out in. If you like a ton of space in the hotel room itself, then this hotel might not be great for you, but I found it wasn't a big deal. The rooms were a little warm and the a/c unit didn't help much. The continental breakfast was the standard bagels/muffins, cereal, and some fruit. There were two hot items available, which were egg and pancakes/waffles, but neither of those appealed to me. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a good location and an affordable, comfortable stay.

I was pleasantly surprised with this Ramada hotel. The room was updated but small, I was travelling alone so this was perfect. The bed was very comfortable. With the windows closed there was almost no road noise. Everything was clean and well kept. This room also included breakfast. In comparison so other hotels at the same price point this was a selling feature for me. Breakfast was your typical continental style however it also included two hot items. It was overall good value for my money. The location was also great. It is a ten minuet walk to Rogers Arena and is in a pretty safe area. You can also easily walk to the heart of things in downtown Vancouver. It's also easy to access transit. The service was prompt and friendly and I was even able to check in early without an extra fee! I would recommend this Ramada hotel.

This was the first stop to our honeymoon, and after a 14 hour flight from Sydney, my husband and I were very pleased with the service at the Ramada Vancouver hotel and managed a slightly earlier check in as well.
All staff in the hotel from housekeeping, management and front reception gave exceptional service! We travelled around the world on our honeymoon and stayed at many hotels. Ramada Limited Downtown was the benchmark and best hotel we stayed at (and we stayed at some pretty fancy ones along the way).
The room was spacious and very clean with a super comfortable bed. We had a problem with our toilet but maintenance staff fixed this straight away.
The free wi-fi is handy, and the breakfast was delicious!
The hotel is just around the corner from Chinatown and Gastown, and walking distance to shopping areas.
You can take a bus to Stanley Park, but we walked and it only took about 25 minutes.
The people of Vancouver are some of the most friendliest in the world, and this included the staff at the Ramada Limited Downtown.
Next time we are in Vancouver we'll be sure to stay at this hotel again!

I have stayed in this hotel at least 5 times and each time was a great experience. It is well located, for shopping, concerts or sightseeing. Very easy to get too find, even for those who are unfamiliar with Vancouver. The staff will go that extra mile for you, ensuring your stay is a pleasant one and the valet parking is great.

On one stay I had a convertible and had left my jacket in the back. The Valet attendant tracked me down with jacket in hand and asked if I would like him to go back and put the top up. On another occasion I was staying with a friend, in town for a concert. We had brought a bottle of wine for after the show. We could only find Styrofoam cups in the room. We asked at the desk if we could get some glasses (just water ones would do) and they said no problem...they would have them up in our room when we returned. We were pleasantly surprised to find wine glasses waiting for us.

The rooms are on the small side but extremely comfortable, very warm and inviting. The beds and bedding are one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Always a peaceful night at this hotel!!!

The area can be a bit sketchy but I never feel uneasy. Seems like what appears to be on the undesirable side, makes retreat at night.

All round.. I was recommend this hotel whole heartedly!!!
